Kayla and Owen tied the knot at The Mansion at Pen Ryn Estate and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. The girls started the day with champagne, matching pjs, and dancing around to music.
Once hair and makeup was complete, Kayla’s mom helped her into her dress and heels before she met her groom, Owen.
The men had their fun too, we snuck off into the library for groomsmen portraits where the boys got a little carried away (step ladders were involved in the process)
Kayla and Owen decided to do a first touch instead of a first look where they also exchanged private vows. Being a photographer who is also an empath was hard during this part. They both were emotional, and tears were shed, but to keep the inital surprise of walking down the aisle, Kayla gave Owen a hug while he turned around.
The ceremony was originally supposed to take place in front of the Mansion, but a tropical storm passed by last minute causing the wedding to shift inside. While this was unexpected, Kayla and Owen saying I do in front of the stunning ballroom windows was absolutely perfect.
The weather ended up in our favor after the ceremony. The storm had cleared for the remainder of the night allowing us to run outside for portraits.
After portraits — the party began. Funny story actually, I was running around looking for the cake so I could take a picture of it before the cutting. Only to find out that Kayla and Owen opted for a champagne tower in lue of a cake cutting and instead provided a Desert Table for guests to graze. (SUCH A COOL IDEA!!??)
Popping the champagne is the ‘official’ way to get a party started — the dance floor was flooded for the remainder of the night. I’m talking conga lines, on the floor doing worms, and even limbo.
Needless to say, the entire day was a blast and truly couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m thankful I got to photograph The Bradford’s exciting new beginning at Pen Ryn Estate! Keep scrolling for more pics of their big day. If you’re reading this, I’d love to work with you. Let’s connect!
